- Squirrel Seige

Got home from work last night and long story short: my wife discovered a squirrel somehow entered our home and was under our living room chair. Called Animal Control and the "professional" is utterly unprepared: a small pet carrier and a snake lasso. No net. We get it out from under the chair and I eventually trap it under a laundry basket. Before we can contain it, it squirts out through a hole in the basket!

Borrowed a humane squirrel trap from a neighbor, slathered it with peanut butter, and set it in our living room overnight thinking it would be hungry enough to wander and eat. No such luck.

Now, we're not sure where it is. We think it made it's way behind and under our large china cabinet in the dining room. I will be chasing that thing all weekend, I'm sure, or just wait it out and it might die.
